Lead Sitecore Developer

Reporting to the Technical Director, the Sitecore Lead will be working across two major accounts for Digitas, as well as raising the level of development skill across the agency within the .NET and Sitecore capabilities.

Responsibilities

Work with the Technology Partner and rest of the team to help:

  • Lead development of a major greenfield Sitecore build for a global company with integrations with Salesforce, API gateway and payment providers
  • Provide expert knowledge of best practice around tools and approach for Sitecore projects
  • Engage in activities to share knowledge between teams
  • Estimate and plan, and contribute to the risk log and risk planning
  • Take ownership of the technical delivery, acting as single point of technical responsibility, and create a collaborative, can-do culture in your project team
  • Lead on the implementation of TDD and Continuous Integration and ensure that the team is properly enabled to execute the build pipeline
  • Lead on building a DevOps culture and ensure that deployments are automated with an “infrastructure as code” approach
  • Engage with client and internal stakeholders, representing the work of your project teams, and ensuring their needs are met
  • Play a role in recruiting members of the team, through your network and events, and contribute to our hiring process

QUALIFIKATIONEN

  • In-depth knowledge of software engineering principles & best practice, with a focus on Sitecore including relevant certifications.
  • Immersion in the full SDLC, from project initiation to store deployment
  • Experience integrating with external services (Web APIs, CMSs, etc)
  • Low-level understanding of SCMS (Git and Git Flow)
  • Affinity for UX- & UI-driven applications
  • Familiarity with project management techniques and tools with an emphasis on agile delivery
  • Sound practices in planning & delivery of technical documentation
  • Good knowledge of the Sitecore C# enterprise application development process
  • A strong passion for Agile development practices
  • Solid implementation knowledge of TDD and CI best practices
  • A grounding in the use of design patterns in building applications
  • Practical knowledge of other web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). We have a dedicated Interface Development team, but you will be working alongside our front-end specialists
