Overview
As SVP, B2B & Account-Based Marketing Strategy, you will set the vision and elevate our client’s B2B and ABM approach, serving as a senior strategic advisor to clients and an enterprise leader across Digitas. You will define how brands identify, engage, convert and grow priority accounts by connecting business strategy, audience intelligence, content, media, experience, sales activation, data and technology into an integrated growth system.
This role requires a deep understanding of complex B2B buying dynamics, including multi-stakeholder buying committees, long and non-linear decision journeys, category demand, account penetration and the relationship between marketing activity, sales progression and business outcomes. You will lead the agency’s point of view, frameworks and talent while guiding high-impact client engagements and growth opportunities.
Job Responsibilities
Day-to-day, your role will focus on:
- Define and evolve our client’s enterprise B2B and ABM strategy, narrative, methodologies, playbooks and measurement standards, creating a differentiated and repeatable approach across clients and new business.
- Translate shifts in B2B buyer behavior, AI, data, media, content, commerce and marketing technology into actionable agency offerings and client roadmaps.
- Establish the strategic standards for account selection, segmentation, tiering, buying-group intelligence, journey design, experience orchestration and personalized engagement for clients.
- Champion a connected approach that links brand building, demand creation, demand capture, customer growth and sales enablement rather than treating ABM as a stand-alone campaign tactic.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior marketing, sales, revenue, digital, data and technology leaders, helping them align around shared growth priorities and a clear role for ABM.
- Lead executive workshops and strategic engagements that clarify business objectives, priority markets and accounts, audience needs, value propositions, experience opportunities, operating-model requirements and investment choices.
- Diagnose clients’ B2B and ABM maturity, identify barriers to scale and define pragmatic transformation roadmaps that balance near-term activation with long-term capability building.
- Cultivate senior client relationships by anticipating competitive threats, organizational challenges and evolving buyer expectations, then translating them into high-impact strategic opportunities.
Architect Connected B2B and ABM Experiences
- Guide teams in mapping complex account and buying-group journeys to identify decisive moments, unmet needs and opportunities to influence individual stakeholders and the broader committee.
- Orchestrate paid, owned, earned and sales-enabled touchpoints across the account lifecycle, defining the role of channels, content and experiences for different account tiers and buying stages.
- Partner with creative, media, CRM, experience, commerce, data and technology leaders to turn account insight into differentiated ideas, personalized experiences and scalable activation programs.
- Ensure strategy connects reputation and category demand with account engagement, opportunity progression, retention and expansion.
Advance Data, Technology and Measurement
- Champion the responsible use of first-party data, firmographic and technographic data, intent signals, engagement data, AI and predictive intelligence to improve account prioritization and personalization.
- Guide the strategic application of ABM, CRM, marketing automation, content, analytics and sales platforms, ensuring the ecosystem supports orchestration and measurable business impact.
- Define measurement frameworks that connect leading indicators such as reach, engagement and buying-group coverage to account progression, pipeline influence, revenue, retention and customer growth.
Partner with analytics and client teams to establish learning agendas, testing plans and optimization practices that continuously improve performance.
Qualifications
This pivotal role requires an outstanding breadth and depth of expertise, including 15+ years of relevant experience and a track record of building modern B2B strategies, leading senior client relationships and driving measurable growth. A four-year college degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred. You are:
- A recognized B2B and ABM thought leader with deep knowledge of enterprise buying dynamics, buying committees, long sales cycles, account-based strategy and integrated demand generation.
- A business-minded strategist who can connect market opportunity, customer insight, brand, demand, sales priorities, data, technology and operating model decisions into one cohesive growth strategy.
- An experienced practice builder who has developed frameworks, playbooks, offerings and teams that scale beyond a single client or engagement.
- A senior client leader with executive presence and the ability to influence C-suite and functional stakeholders across marketing, sales, revenue, digital, data and technology.
- A sophisticated data and measurement leader who can translate account intelligence, intent and engagement signals into strategy, activation and business-impact frameworks.
- A martech-fluent leader with experience shaping ecosystems that may include ABM platforms, CRM, marketing automation, analytics, content and sales-enablement technologies.
- A cross-channel orchestrator who understands how media, content, experiences, CRM and sales interactions work together across the B2B customer lifecycle.
- A persuasive storyteller and workshop facilitator who can simplify complexity, establish a strong point of view and move senior stakeholders to action.
- A proven growth leader with experience shaping and winning significant organic and new business opportunities.
- An inclusive people leader with a strong record of attracting, coaching and developing senior and emerging talent across disciplines.
- A collaborative enterprise leader who can operate effectively in a matrixed organization and mobilize capabilities across Digitas, Publicis Groupe, clients and partners.
- Comfortable using generative AI and emerging tools to accelerate research, ideation, strategic development and content creation, with sound judgment regarding responsible use.
