Overview
The Vice President, Group Director leads a team responsible for driving the strategic development and flawless execution of Digitas programmatic and digital campaigns across CTV, Audio, Display, Mobile, Native, and Video channels. This role oversees planning activities for complex and high-budget initiatives, generates actionable insights, and promotes best practices across the full range of client marketing activities. The VP, GD acts as the primary escalation point for both client and internal teams and collaborates closely with clients, media partners, strategy, and investment teams to ensure alignment with client objectives and industry regulations.
As a senior thought leader in audience strategy and campaign optimization, the VP, GD forges strong relationships and maintains open channels of communication with agency partners and the client services team. This role ensures the delivery of effective campaign activity and deliverables, oversees team training and development, and manages Director/Associate Director assignments and bandwidth to meet evolving requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Assume full accountability for the execution and stewardship of programmatic and digital direct campaigns for assigned client accounts.
- Proactively communicate with clients and coordinate with strategy, planning, analytics, and data architecture teams to oversee all digital activity.
- Motivate and inspire agency media teams, fostering a collaborative and solutions-oriented environment.
- Exhibit strong, persuasive client management skills.
- Oversee daily workflows for all Digitas programmatic and digital campaigns, including proposal development, campaign activation and maintenance, and post-campaign analysis.
- Collaborate with agency media teams to respond to RFPs, build strategic media plans, communicate service offerings, and identify innovative solutions.
- Review all client deliverables for quality and regulatory compliance, ensuring recommendations are robust, viable, and aligned with industry standards.
- Clearly articulate Digitas team’s value proposition, technology, and processes to both current and prospective accounts.
- Participate in forecasting and planning exercises for senior management, ensuring transparency and accuracy in media spend.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity.
- Uphold best practices in account management and program/project management.
- Train, mentor, and support the professional development of direct reports and broader team members.
- Demonstrate expertise with platforms and publishers commonly used in pharmaceutical advertising—such as PulsePoint, DeepIntent, Swoop, Healthline, WebMD, and endemic healthcare publisher networks.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in programmatic and/or digital media buying (Display, Video, CTV, Direct Digital, Audio, etc.), with a strong focus on regulated or pharma verticals.
- 10+ years of progressive responsibility within an agency or media company, including direct client-facing experience.
- 10+ years of people management experience, including managing teams of 3 or more within account management or client services.

Compensation Range: $149,340 - $239,148 annually . This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
