New Study: Business Travelers struggle to keep healthy routines—and want brands to help

New York, NY, United States

91% of business travelers struggle to maintain a healthy lifestyle while away on business; and 63% of Millennial business travelers fight loneliness

New research from Digitas, The Connected Marketing Agency, reveals that many business travelers are lonely, anxiety-ridden and would find it helpful if brands they use for business travel provide offerings to keep their wellness in check while on the road.

According to the study, commissioned by Digitas’ intelligence hub Vera and conducted online by The Harris Poll among more than 700 business travelers, 91% say they find it difficult to partake in healthy behaviors when traveling for business. In fact, 81% say they’d be more likely to partake in healthy behaviors when away on business if companies they use for business travel made healthy activities more accessible.

Business travel often disrupts routine and can lead to adverse effects on diet, stress level, and sleep, among others—creating a tremendous opportunity for brands to help consumers maintain wellness on the road, just as they do at home.
