Overview

The VP, Director of Audience & Insights (A&I) Research is a senior leader within the broader A&I organization, supporting a global electronics account in Plano, Texas.

 

This role leads the generation of actionable insights to inform media strategy, audience activation, consumer research, and measurement. Leveraging research, data, and analytics, this leader answers critical business questions, establishes best practices, and anticipates future needs to drive the business forward. The ideal candidate balances analytical rigor with curiosity—connecting the “what” to the “why” behind the data.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and Steward Audience & Competitive Practice

  • Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert across quantitative and qualitative research
  • Own senior‑level relationships with Samsung Media and Consumer Insights teams, delivering insight‑driven solutions
  • Drive cross‑functional collaboration with Strategy and Analytics teams to inform audience and campaign planning

Deliver Actionable Insights to Support Business & Media Decisions

  • Define and evolve the audience approach to identify, size, and understand growth opportunities
  • Connect audience insights and strategic profiling through activation and measurement
  • Support Ad Effectiveness / Brand Lift efforts by translating business goals and KPIs into effective study design
  • Develop competitive intelligence to inform category, brand, and marketplace context
  • Recommend innovative, solutions‑oriented approaches with clear media and marketing implications

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in an agency or research environment
  • Deep expertise with syndicated audience solutions (e.g., MRI, GWI) and identity‑based audience activation
  • Experience leading custom quantitative and qualitative research (survey design, focus groups, etc.)
  • Strong background in competitive intelligence and reporting (e.g., MediaRadar, Pathmatics)
  • Understanding of brand health frameworks and their application to media strategy
  • Working knowledge of paid media across offline and digital channels

Compensation Range: $135,375 - $194,460. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
