Overview
We are seeking a Vice President/Group Director, Solution Architecture to lead the design of next-generation, data- and AI-powered marketing platforms for one of the world’s most sophisticated global brands. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, advanced analytics, and emerging technology. You will define how audience intelligence, modern measurement, and AI-driven decisioning come together to drive real commercial outcomes at enterprise scale.
This is a market-facing leadership role for a seasoned architect who can operate above individual tools or platforms—shaping future-state capabilities, guiding executive decision-making, and turning innovation into durable operating models.
Job Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture for a large-scale marketing and growth transformation, spanning data, identity, measurement, activation, and AI-enabled decisioning.
- Define a future-state vision for audience intelligence and measurement that moves organizations from fragmented, channel-level reporting to people-based, outcome-driven decision-making.
- Translate business growth objectives into scalable architectural patterns rather than point solutions, ensuring longevity beyond any single vendor or technology.
- Partner with analytics and data science leaders to establish modern measurement frameworks, including experimentation, incrementality, and advanced modeling to inform investment decisions.
- Guide the design and deployment of AI-powered capabilities (e.g., intelligent insights, content, and decision agents), with clear governance, human oversight, and value realization.
- Serve as the senior technical advisor to executive stakeholders, clearly articulating trade-offs, risks, and opportunities in language grounded in business impact.
- Leverage cross-functional teams across strategy, media, analytics, creative, engineering, legal, and privacy to deliver integrated solutions.
- Evaluate technology and data partners at an ecosystem level; inform build, buy, or partner strategies aligned to long-term business goals.
- Establish operating standards for data quality, security, privacy, and responsible AI usage across client and agency environments.
Create repeatable frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices that can scale across brands, regions, and lines of business.
Qualifications
Core Capabilities We’re Looking For
- Enterprise Solution Architecture: designing complex, distributed systems that integrate data, analytics, activation, and AI at scale.
- Audience & Identity Strategy: deep understanding of people-based data, identity resolution concepts, and how audiences power personalization and growth.
- Modern Measurement & Experimentation: expertise in advanced measurement philosophies (e.g., incrementality, modeling, experimentation) rather than reliance on last-click or siloed attribution.
- AI & Emerging Technology Leadership: experience guiding organizations through the practical adoption of AI and GenAI—focusing on use cases, governance, and value, not hype.
- Data & Cloud Fluency: strong conceptual understanding of modern data platforms, analytics stacks, and scalable integration patterns.
- Marketing & Commercial Acumen: ability to connect technical design decisions directly to revenue growth, efficiency, customer experience, and brand outcomes.
Experience & Background
- 15+ years of experience in solution architecture, management consulting, product strategy, marketing technology, data/analytics, or digital transformation.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale initiatives that combine technology, data, and organizational change.
- Experience advising senior executives and influencing decisions at the C-suite or board level.
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and help organizations navigate emerging technologies that are still evolving.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Executive presence with the ability to simplify complex concepts into compelling, business-first narratives.
- Strategic mindset—comfortable operating at the level of systems, platforms, and long-term capability building.
- Strong influencer who can align diverse stakeholders without direct authority.
- Intellectual curiosity and a continuous-learning orientation toward new data, AI, and technology paradigms.
- Change leadership skills to drive adoption, enablement, and sustained impact beyond initial launches.
