Platform Engineer (AEM)


Our Platform Engineer for Adobe Experience Manager role is hands-on working in a cross-discipline team of Adobe Experience Manager Platform Engineers, Web Front-end Engineers, QA Analysts, UX Designers, and UI Designers to deliver on client requirements in a component driven development methodology. Reporting to the Technology Director, Platforms, this role is client facing and working onsite with client teams.


You’ll be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with other engineers, creatives, and clients to design and implement web technology solutions
  • Implementing modern and maintainable code solutions on the Adobe Experience Manager Platform
  • Ensuring that software solutions are performant, secure, and properly documented
  • Developing and adhering to coding & architecture standards 
  • Promote process improvements to increase development efficiency and quality of features
  • Thoroughly validating and verifying your work through manual test scripts and unit tests to ensure high-quality products
  • Aware of data privacy when developing solutions
  • Intellectual curiosity, passion, inventiveness, and a desire to learn and grow
  • Eagerness to learn new languages, frameworks, and technologies
  • A positive attitude towards both work and people
  • Motivation to work independently as well as part of a team


Key Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in HTML and JavaScript
  • Experience working with UX Design, UI Design and client teams
  • Experience working in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Proficiency in one or more database platforms, including MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc
  • Strong understanding of OOP principles and concepts
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure services such as AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Working knowledge of continuous integration, continuous deployment, product and data security, and software refactoring
  • Working knowledge of application performance parameters
  • Experience developing custom web applications (not on a platform such as Adobe Experience Manager) using open-source libraries and tools
  • Experience in setting up developer workflows and tool chains
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working in component driven development workflows



  • Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Worked in software engineering roles for 2+ years
  • Adobe Experience Manager certifications a plus
