Data Strategist - Mid-level (contract with view to go perm)


Please note this is an initial 3 month contract with a definite view to go perm in the new year!

You act as a source for information on latest technology trends & products in the space of (big) data, analytics, ad-tech, machine learning and/or AI.

You develop smart frameworks and methodologies for approaching strategic issues, test & learn programs or creative problems, utilising a team of Data Analysts and Scientists as well as an cross-functional team of CX strategists, developers and designers. 

You have a high comfort factor in interpreting information from complex analyses. Understanding of building -and generating insight from -integrated dashboards or visualisation tools.

You don’t use buzzwords but you do guide clients through the maze of buzzwords towards a good understanding of opportunities and solutions to their business problems

You have at least 5 years of experience with strong data planning or marketing consulting pedigree demonstrated through analysis projects, case studies, and agency IP.


    Specifically, you are responsible for delivering data strategy and consulting across multiple client engagements from enterprise data strategy to campaign data strategy through:

    • Providing a cross-functional understanding of data, navigating data ownership issues and governance toward a federated model.
    • Working with and managing external data partners and vendors
    • Working together with solution architects, analytics team and engineering to determine success metrics and translating them into data needs, technical requirements and uses cases. 
    • Transformation of customer data into actionable insights that can drive marketing strategy and inspire the creative process.
    • Demonstrating competence with or knowledge of statistical analysis languages and relational database technologies (Python, R, SAS and/or SQL) preferred.
    • Articulating a clear conceptual framework for the data strategy and an ability to communicate or broker decisions across functions in line with a project plan
