Lead Product Designer

QUALIFICATIONS

We’re looking for someone who will help us create digital experiences that are functional, beautiful and inspirational. Someone who will take ownership of a range of projects from initial briefing, through to delivery. As a part of a team that includes Creatives, Strategists, Designers and Technologists, you will help create new experiences that inspire users and exceed client’s expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Show Digitas and our clients what good, modern product design processes and practices look like
  • Help our clients understand their customers by employing a wide range of qual, quant and data gathering techniques, in collaboration with our in-house strategists, researchers and data analysts 
  • Bring an entrepreneurial mindset to projects and products, continually looking ways to generate value for our clients and their customers
  • Tell compelling stories about possible futures to get our clients excited about what their business and products could potentially be
  • Facilitate workshops as part of discovery and early product definition – using your experience of lean UX approaches, design sprint and prototyping methods. 
  • Create user journey maps illustrating user needs, pain points, and business opportunities 

Skills & Experience

  • You will have a solid body of work demonstrating both strategic and craft skills
  • We don’t expect you to be amazing at everything – we want to see a set of core skills and the ability to collaborate and learn to enhance the skills that aren’t as strong.
  • Being commercially and entrepreneurially minded is key for this role.
  • You have worked in cross functional Agile teams to build and iterate a range of great products – websites, apps, B2B tools or services
  • You have experience facilitating workshops and leading meetings with a range of stakeholders – from extremely senior stakeholders to junior members of your team
  • You have the confidence and gravitas to explain and present your ideas convincingly
  • Your people skills are as important as your craft skills. You have lead individuals or teams and helped them be their best selves and deliver great work
  • You have developed key leadership skills. These include communication and presentation skills, growing and mentoring junior members of the team, dealing with conflict, etc
  • You are excited about pitching. This means employing your full range of skills to tell a story that gets clients excited about how their world could be and how they could connect with their customers.
