Overview

We’re searching for an Associate Director, Talent Developmentwho will be assuming a large role in delivering this mission through the design, development, and implementation of relevant learning solutions.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Translate Digitas corporate strategies into appropriate learning and development initiatives. 
  • Uses consulting skills with Talent and business partners to design and implement needs assessments; draw conclusions and recommend appropriate learning initiative to fill gaps. 
  • Hires/manages internal resources and develops/maintains outsourced learning partners vendors when required. 
  • Lead the design and development of learning initiatives, from single sessions to more complex, multi-part programming, using sound instructional design strategies. 
  • Manage the continual update, revision, and customization of existing materials to reflect changes in the business identified through needs assessment or general interaction with business leaders.  
  • Facilitate instructor-led training using techniques that maximize learner participation, comprehension, and application of the material. 
  • Partner with subject experts across Digitas to ensure their intellectual capital is packaged appropriately to suit a variety of end-user needs. 
  • Develop the measurement approach for each learning initiative and provide a thorough analysis of results, including recommendations for improvement.  
  • Maintains pulse on developments in the field of learning and development.  
  • Partners with Vice President to manager Talent Development budget 

 

Project Management  

  • Manage to successfully deliver the execution of complex programs/projects consistently.  
  • Effectively balance various business, employee and internal Talent Development team needs to deliver high-impact work on time, on budget.  

 
Communications  

  • Write clear, grammatically correct and compelling training materials, PowerPoint presentations, and communication plans. 
  • Influence other’s perceptions using reason, fact, and data appropriately.  
  • Possess strong presentation, verbal communication skills, and listening skills.  

Client Management  

  • Partner with and advise Digitas business leaders on their learning needs.  
  • Understand the fundamental economics of professional services firms and use this knowledge to drive effective programming.  
  • Balance the need to deliver programming with the realities of working with client facing staff; flexibly work with subject experts to make progress on deliverables despite conflicting work priorities.  


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design/Technology required  
  • Master’s degree desired  
  • 7-9 years training/performance support experience, preferably at a professional services firm or at a company providing training solutions to third party clients 
  • 1-2 years of management experience is desired  
  • Candidate must be open to travel as needed  
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and development  
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills  
  • Strong project management and leadership skills to achieve design target timelines  
  • Working knowledge of Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams to deliver effective learning solutions  
  • Experience working in (ADDIE) design environment  
  • Experience in marketing/advertising industry desired  
  • Candidate must be open to travel as needed  
  • Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation.

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $

97,375 - 155-961. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
