Role Summary

The media revenue accountant will be the main finance point of contact for the GSK media team and will be responsible for managing revenue recognition, invoicing fees, reconciliation of costs to invoices, media plans and providing reporting information to the business teams on all GSK projects and campaigns.

Leadership As the lead finance contact on the GSK account, you will have the opportunity to lead and overseeing all the finances for this growing team. You will help motivate and challenge the team to ensure all finance responsibilities are achieved in the deadlines required.


Client management The Media Revenue Accountant plays an important role managing and working with all the stakeholders including the Client team and media buyers. You will help them to manage their finance in line with both finance / Publicis regulations and Digitas processes


Collaboration is central to our way of working. As the media revenue accountant you will be responsible for all finance on the GSK Portfolio, from ensuring the buyers are working to their planned budgets to revenue recognition in line with GAAP. You'll work closely with the client team, and other finance personal to ensure all processes are connected to the deliver the required results.


Skills & Experience


As a Media Revenue Accountant it's essential that you bring proven experience in a finance revenue role. You should also have experience being able to priorities and juggle multiple tasks. You should be confident managing a portfolio’s finance and being about to work independently to tight deadlines.


  • Work with the media team and billing team to ensure all client invoicing are issued in accordance to the agreed billing process
  • Assist client-facing colleagues with revenue recognition status on projects/ campaigns
  • Ensure that revenue recognised is in line UK GAAP
  • Manage the relationship between media team accounts payable and media team, and assist accounts payable team with any payable queries relating to the media plans
  • Ensure that all suppler / publisher costs are paid within required payment terms
    Align client set up in DDS (Media System) with SAP
  • Highlight revenue recognition issues to the media revenue manager on a timely basis
  • Provide an analysis on a monthly basis, of unbilled media spend, accrued income, billable and non-billable WIP
  • Assist media revenue manager with balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts within Media
  • Provide Accrued Income/WIP / Unbilled media spend reports for Media Team scrutinisation
  • Identify best practice and recommend improvements in the overall processes and assisting with implementations
  • Work closely with the Media department to ensure the successful delivery of new processes
  • Close all project codes in in a timely manner once work is complete and everything has been invoiced/project reconciled
