Overview

We’re looking for an outstanding Senior VP/Group Account Director who’ll lead the troops in driving this growth. It’s no small task, but it’s a fun and rewarding one. If you’re up for it, read on.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build, nurture, and expand senior-level client relationships, serving as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for all CRM and Email Marketing initiatives.
  • Lead client communications, ensuring transparency, trust, and proactive management of client expectations, business needs, and strategic priorities.
  • Translate client business goals into actionable CRM and Email Marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with broader brand and marketing objectives.
  • Guide clients through CRM and Email Marketing program design, implementation, and optimization by facilitating collaboration across agency teams and client stakeholders.
  • Deliver strategic presentations and recommendations to senior client stakeholders, providing clear rationale and actionable insights that drive buy-in and business growth.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for account growth within CRM and Email Marketing, including upsell/cross-sell of new capabilities, platforms, or services.
  • Oversee the financial health of client accounts, including forecasting, budgeting, and stewardship of client investments in CRM and Email Marketing.
  • Resolve issues, escalate challenges, and manage client feedback with professionalism and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Lead internal teams in delivering best-in-class client service, fostering a culture of responsiveness, accountability, and excellence in all client interactions.
  • Partner with other agency leaders to bring the full power of Digitas to clients, connecting CRM and Email Marketing with other capabilities for integrated success.
  • Represent Digitas in client senior leadership meetings, industry events, and thought leadership forums as the voice of CRM and Email Marketing client management.

Day to day, your role will include:

 

You’ll develop high-level strategic plans, effectively utilize cross functional teams, and influence senior clients through your deep knowledge of the web and ability to pinpoint the smartest, most powerful strategies to solve client problems. 

  • Eloquently articulating our views on owned and digital business philosophies, keeping clients up to date on industry context
  • Actively establishing and growing senior-level client relationships based on trust, and leveraging these relationships in the development of business growth
  • Developing cutting-edge, insight-driven integrated marketing programs, leveraging expertise across owned channels
  • Demonstrating strong corporate citizenship through involvement in company events, learning forums, and other activities, serving as a member of the Digitas San Francisco Senior Leadership Team and Digitas Global Network
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of changes in the client’s industry and how customer needs are adapting, and developing relevant case studies on client businesses
  • Deliver strategic client presentations and providing recommendations that are concise, insightful, and on point
  • Connecting to broader agency intellectual capital and bringing best practices to client engagements
  • Owning client financials – including forecasts, budgets, and investments – and facilitating all legal contracts
  • Developing team members through training and identifying areas for growth – you’ll demonstrate openness to hiring non-traditional talent and build a team bench by actively recruiting a best-in-class workforce
  • Willingness to travel as needed – you’re open to new places, new faces, and new ideas

Qualifications

We’re looking for a talented Senior VP/Group Account Director with impressive work experience, including:

  • A demonstrated powerful passion for marketing and proven success in bringing the best work to life
  • Four years of college education, an MBA degree, and 15+ years of experience, including a strong, established history of interactive experience and client leadership in integrated marketing or a digital scope
  • A refined understanding of how marketing, creative, planning, owned channels, technology, and analytics integrate
  • Superior analytical skills, strategic thinking, communication, and presentation skills
  • Extensive marketing knowledge across owned media, specifically email, site, app and social
  • An impressive, demonstrated ability to effectively grow existing client relationships
  • Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation.

Compensation Range:  $180,215 - $299,637. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
