Job Responsibilities

Lead Data Governance and take Constellation into the future of data structure and evolution

  • Taxonomy & Data Standards: Own the taxonomy and broader data standards required to create consistency across planning, activation, platforms, reporting, measurement and analytics. Ensure standards remain current as platforms, business requirements and downstream use cases evolve.
  • Data Ecosystem Governance: Understand how data moves across the ecosystem - from media planning and activation through platform partners/APIs into Constellation, reporting, measurement and downstream applications. Identify gaps, inconsistencies and structural issues that prevent data from connecting effectively across those environments.
  • Data Strategy & Capability Development: Partner closely with Data Strategy, Data Operations, Analytics, Engineering and Ad Tech when designing new data capabilities. Governance should be involved upstream, helping establish data requirements and standards as solutions are designed and set up proper QA checkpoints throughout data collection/measurement.
  • Automation & Process Improvement: Identify governance and data processes that remain unnecessarily manual and work with Data Strategy, Data Ops and Engineering to simplify or automate them. This includes looking beyond Governance’s own processes to identify inefficiencies created by how data is structured, transferred or managed across teams and systems.
  • New Technology & AI Governance: Provide the data governance perspective for AI, automation, Copilot and other emerging capabilities. The role should help establish how governed, structured and reliable data can enable these capabilities while ensuring appropriate controls and standards are built into their design.
  • Operating Model & Accountability: Establish clear ownership across Governance, Data Operations, Investment, Strategy, Analytics, Engineering and platform teams. The Governance Lead should define standards, controls and accountability, while ensuring operational execution resides with the teams best equipped to perform it. Support data teams including audience and insights, data science, data platforms and performance analytics. This includes development of documentation and training to ensure compliance.
