We’re looking for an outstanding Senior Vice President—someone who can win the hearts of clients, inspire junior staff, and skillfully juggle multiple pieces of business. This is an opportunity for a digital media leader, with multi-retailer experience, to lead the future vision of Retail Media for Digitas. Job Responsibilities

As SVP of Head of Retail Media, your strategic vision and retail media leadership will help build the agency’s retail media practice (SEM, SEO, Programmatic) to support aggressive growth within the Commerce Media practice. We’re looking for a recognized commerce media leader who can simultaneously build agency capabilities at scale while serving as a strategic advisor to senior clients, creating stronger teams, better work, and measurable business impact.

 

Most importantly, you must possess a strong inner drive to bring your knowledge and hands-on self-serve expertise across Amazon, Walmart, Instacart, Kroger, Criteo and Citrus search offerings to a growing team and enjoy working with some of the finest minds in the industry.

 

 

Day to day your role includes:

Capability Leadership (50%) 

  • Lead the evolution of the agency s Retail Commerce Media practice, establishing a clear vision, roadmap, and growth strategy. 
  • Drive cross-team learning by creating scalable forums, training programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that elevate expertise across the organization. 
  • Standardize planning, activation, measurement, reporting, and QA frameworks to ensure consistency and excellence across all client teams. 
  • Champion data, measurement, and governance best practices, improving the quality, accessibility, and actionability of commerce media insights. 
  • Foster a high-performing, inclusive culture that prioritizes collaboration, innovation, accountability, and talent development. 
  • Partner across Media, Strategy, Analytics, Technology, and Commerce disciplines to drive integration, operational efficiency, and adoption of new capabilities. 

 

Client Leadership (50%) 

  • Serve as executive Commerce Media lead for a portfolio of key clients, providing strategic guidance across investment planning, performance, measurement, and growth opportunities. 
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a thought partner on commerce strategy, retail media transformation, and business growth. 
  • Lead annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and executive-level discussions, translating complex commerce media topics into clear business recommendations.
  • Drive client retention and growth by identifying opportunities for innovation, expanded services, and deeper integration of commerce media solutions. 
  • Directing long-term and short-term strategic marketing efforts to meet both market share and sales goals.
  • Maintaining a level of quality assurance and accountability for delivering campaigns and executions with precision
  • Understand and explain attribution model across retail search partners.
  • Developing and maintaining quality control procedures for campaign implementations.
  • Support JBP negotiations annually
  • Assessing and pursuing new business opportunities, while maintaining and growing the company’s existing strengths. Support in any new business pitches and related work as required.
  • Serve as liaison to Publicis Media Commerce practice to ensure we are bringing best in class tools and solutions to our clients
  • Lead the Commerce COE to support capability development across the agency
  • Keep a firm pulse on changes to the marketplace and industry, adjusting marketing plans accordingly.
  • Understanding and effectively communicating our value proposition, technology, and processes as related to the growth of current and prospective agency accounts.
  • Active knowledge sharing with capability and broader agency.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of digital media experience, 10+ years of Retail Media experience
  • Proven success managing large-scale accounts and budgets.
  • Strong experience with retail media, ideally working with Amazon or teams buying within Amazon.
  • Understanding of an omni-channel marketing ecosystem and customer-led marketing strategies.
  • Experience leading development of social and digital campaigns and integrating them with other channels in collaboration with cross-functional teams and agency partners.
  • Self-directed problem solver with excellent conflict resolution and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture client relationships.
  • Experience leading complex projects and large teams.
  • Proven experience growing client accounts and agency revenue.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills—you’re poised, precise, and above all, kind when relating to others.
  • Willingness to travel as needed – you’re open to new places, new faces and new ideas.

Compensation Range

Compensation Range: USD $180,215.00 - USD $268,905.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
