Paving the way is our Marketing Operations group, comprised of experts in cross-channel execution, data management, process design, assessment methodology, CRM, marketing automation, email tool implementation and usage, and data capture across all marketing channels.
The Marketing Operations team is dedicated to helping us transform the marketing landscape by bridging process and technology platforms to align with client creative, strategy, and business goals.
To help with this, we’re looking for an outstanding Associate Director – someone who is passionate about how technology and marketing work together to strategically solve our clients’ business challenges.

As Associate Director of Marketing Operations, you’ll work across multiple accounts and offices to maximize efficiencies within marketing programs. You’ll oversee all aspects of data management and campaign execution to ensure best practice standards.
Day-to-day, your role includes:
- Overseeing and ensuring flawless execution of cross-channel marketing programs, including direct mail, email, mobile, SMS
- Defining and selecting required vendors within vendor selection process, and writing RFI/RFQ/RFP content
- Identifying proper marketing automation and optimization solutions to meet client needs
- Identifying process improvements and creating solutions to be implemented across marketing programs
- Working with other capability leaders to develop strategic recommendations
- Managing vendor relationships in the marketing automation, email, direct mail, and mobile space
- Overseeing detailed data processing specifications for vendors and client IT organizations in best-in-class fashion
- Managing vendor budgets and payment approval
- Representing the Marketing Operations capability in team meetings and contributing to pitches
- Contributing to thought leadership material, including case studies of program work, vendor partner experience, new business pitch support, program optimizations, etc.
- Developing direct reports through thoughtful, timely performance reviews and development plans
- Developing and growing alliances with various technology vendor partners
- Working with other capability leaders to develop strategic recommendations and to bring an operational perspective to consultative projects
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree (MBA preferred) and 7 to 9 years of experience in a direct marketing environment with data-oriented responsibility (preferably at a creative agency)
- Deep familiarity with CRM and direct marketing channels
- Knowledge of cross channel execution (email, SMS, direct mail) and best practices including data security requirements, CAN SPAM compliance, etc.
- Knowledge of the email marketing landscape, including Email Service Providers, Marketing Clouds, Marketing Automation platforms, and niche solutions providers
- Proficient working in an enterprise-level Marketing Automation tool (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Oracle Responsys, Oracle Eloqua, Adobe Campaign) or extensive experience managing an ESP relationship
- Demonstrated skills in driving innovation in the email and direct marketing space
- Prior successful experience managing one or more large-scale client engagements
- Excellent time management and communication skills; you’re detail-oriented, organized, and a master multi-tasker
- Supervisor/Career Manager experience
- Proficient with Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to travel – you’re open to new places, new faces and new ideas
- Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation.

Compensation Range: $112,290 - $172,032 Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
