Challenge

It may be the last thing someone wants to have to think about when a loved one passes away, but the reality is that there are still important administrative responsibilities that need to be taken care of. Sanlam wanted to find a way to make this significantly easier and more manageable for those left behind to deal with.

Insight

Losing a loved one is difficult – yet even so, a deceased estate must still be reported within 14 days. Dealing with a stressful and challenging process like this should be as simple as possible for the bereaved – something Sanlam recognised and addressed with understanding and a practical digital solution.

GA look into the fully online process of Automated Estate Reporting

Sanlam was the first South African financial institution to introduce Automated Estate Reporting, an innovative digital service that enables clients to complete the estate administration process online.

The platform offers all the necessary information to report a deceased estate and tells users what documents are required to conclude the process.

No forms need to be manually filled in, no extra emails need to be sent, and there’s no need for a broker or lawyer – just a simplified, streamlined process that there’s to help make a difficult time a little less difficult.
