Digitas has appointed Sarah Hackett in a newly created role as Chief Growth Officer.
Hackett joins the agency with a wealth of experience in delivering growth through new business, marketing, account development and partnerships, and will be responsible for strategically advancing Digitas’ progress, following a slew of high-profile account wins.
The agency has experienced impressive growth this year with new business wins including Crocs, Norwegian Cruise Lines and BT/EE, and expanded remits with several existing clients.
Hackett joins from Zone, where she was a Partner heading up its Sales, Marketing and Partnerships department. She was part of the team that led Zone through its acquisition in 2017, and integration into Cognizant.
Prior to Zone, Hackett was Head of Marketing and New Business at digital agency Head London, where she worked with clients such as Coca-Cola Enterprises, Tesco, Electrolux and Pearson on various projects from multichannel strategies to responsive design. Hackett was instrumental in the acquisition of Head London by Zone, having been brought on to grow the business.
Matt Holt, Chief Strategy Officer of Digitas UK said, “In this next phase of our growth, Sarah will be key to helping Digitas elevate our position in the market and unlock new opportunities. We’re delighted to have her onboard.”
Hackett said: “I am thrilled to join a thriving, future-facing business with a proven track record of delivering growth and innovation for so many great brands. This is an exciting opportunity to re-introduce our unique, integrated capabilities as brands look to bolster and secure their customer relationships for the future. Watch this space.”
Earlier this month, Digitas UK announced that Jennifer Berry is joining the agency in January as its new CEO.
