Overview
We’re searching for a Vice President/Group Director of Media who’s an expert in pioneering media solutions, takes ownership for leadership within the Media group and acts on a sense of creative collaboration. You’ll oversee the development of Strategy and Media Investment for clients.
Job Responsibilities
Overarching
- Contribute to a core team responsible for strategic initiatives
- Oversee development of program strategies across different teams
- Assume a huge role on core client teams and new business opportunities
- Represent the agency within industry organizations
- Support relevant training sessions
- Be a leader through strength and stability -- functioning as a point of escalation for clients and team members as needed.
Leadership
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with relevant media partners in the media ecosystem
- Responsible for spearheading annual planning and working as a liaison between practices within the agency to deliver on Client Campaign Brief asks.
- Oversee the work of multiple channel specialists, managing workflow, QA process, providing strategic guidance and oversight
- Serve as a central point of contact for clients and internal teams
- Work alongside client finance partners to determine how best to spend their media dollars to drive outcomes.
- Bring innovative solutions and out of the box thinking to partners and clients.
- Provide thought leadership on media marketplace evolution, ensuring delivery of strong point of view and industry knowledge
- Manage and maintain relationships with internal leads across practices
Planning & Optimization
- Ensure cross channel and channel tactical recommendations ladder up to the overarching strategy and client business goals
- Establish processes, where needed, to deliver operational excellence across buying and execution
- Work within teams to troubleshoot and quickly problem solve campaign management issues as they arise, as well as effectively partner with cross functional teams to appropriately communicate issues with clients.
- Ensure teams are following agency standard QA best practices
Reporting & Analysis
- Partner closely with Data & Analytics (DNA) lead on cross channel performance analysis and reporting to ensure campaigns deliver on overarching business goals.
- Partner closely with DNA Lead and channel teams on optimization recommendations and opportunities
Qualifications

- Four year degree (Master’s degree preferred)
- 6-12 years of Advertising and Marketing industry experience
- 3 years of staff management and team leadership
- Expertise in the digital world
- Thorough knowledge and expertise in different types of Media
- Proven leadership ability and previous client relationship experience
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Time management and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MRI, and CMR
- Track record of successful problem-solving skills
- Superior interpersonal and presentation skills
- Candidate must be open to travel as needed

Compensation Range: $146,490 - $200,400 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
