We are looking for a Senior Strategist, Connections Strategy (CRM). This person brings a modern view of connected brand experiences powered by data, understands consumer behavior and context, and can architect CRM ecosystems that build loyalty and increase lifetime value. They thrive in ambiguity, stay curious in the face of complexity, and are eager to take the flag and run with it.

Job Responsibilities

Day-to-day, your role includes:

  • Insights and Analysis 

    • Analyze how consumers interact with owned-channel communications using performance data, competitive research, and segmentation insights 

    • Identify whitespace within the category and uncover opportunities to strengthen customer relationships through owned-channel communications  

    Experience and Journey Design 

    • Map CRM and loyalty journeys and identify moments that deepen relationships and drive lifetime value 

    • Evaluate current experiences and recommend improvements that elevate consumer needs and business goals. 

    • Design audience-led journeys that guide both loyalty communications and go-to-market messaging across all lifecycle stages 

    Data and Martech Integration 

    • Identify ways to activate first- and third-party data across the martech ecosystem 

    • Partner with analytics to develop fast-cycle test-and-learn plans and build personalization strategies at scale 

    • Partner closely with data and martech teams to adapt new platform features and functionality and translate them into CRM strategies that drive measurable business results 

    Creative Partnership 

    • Brief creative teams on the job to be done for each touchpoint and guide how the system should work together 

    Client and Cross-Functional Leadership 

    • Bring CRM and loyalty best practices across email, SMS, mobile app, web, direct mail, and addressable media 

    • Keep clients informed about competitive activity, cultural shifts, and consumer trends 

    • Build strong partnerships with creative, data, tech, analytics, and agency partners 

Qualifications

This role will require strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

  • 5-7 years experience, preferably in an agency setting
  • A passion for turning human insights into impactful customer experiences 

  • Confidence working with multi-dimensional research and distilling insights into clear strategic direction 

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with equal strength in data and interpersonal understanding 

  • Experience in CRM, loyalty, and lifecycle marketing and the ability to use segmentation, data, and technology to personalize at scale 

  • A data-first mindset with experience developing experimentation and optimization plans 

  • Strong creative partnership skills and the ability to articulate the purpose of each touchpoint 

  • Excellent organization, time-management skills, and adaptability 

  • Clear and compelling communication and presentation skills that help teams and clients align around a shared strategy

Compensation Range: $81,225 - $116,655. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
